We have had an unusual week of work here at Lusk. Our first day was with horses. You know how much I hated that. No large jobs were tackled since Allan was the only volunteer here this week. Allan has been putting windows in doors and repairing floors. He has had two hard days with Pastor Dale putting in two signs. One sign was in the next town 87 miles away with no food or gas stations in between. The wind was blowing so hard that it was difficult to put up the plywood. They were almost blown over. They both said the ground was hard as a rock. A manual post hole digger was being used. Those guys were tired puppies. Most of my work this week has been clean up. Pastor Dale and Allan put in some duct work this afternoon.
The worst part of these volunteer jobs is leaving. We have made many new friends that we will miss.
We are packing up in hopes to be on the road by 8:30 in the morning. We will be headed for Sidney, Ne. for Allan's family reunion. I am looking forward to visiting the largest Cabala's store while we are there. We will be staying in Cabala's campground.
