I can't believe it is Sept. 1. Time does fly when your having fun. It seems like just the other day when we left Birmingham and now it is fall. The temperatures here the last few days have felt like it, but it is suppose to warm back up into the 70's.
Saturday we volunteered with Angel Food again. Each person on the line was responsible for distributing certain items of food. This month I passed out lettuce and frozen lima beans. Allan helped unload the truck and was a runner with a hand truck to help carry the food to people's vehicles.
Allan worked a few hours Sunday afternoon since we were having friends over on Monday. He got one lean-to sanded and ready for me to paint.
Monday we were blessed with a visit from our friends, Darrel and Judy Patterson. They are full timers and are workamping at Lake George in New York state. We had visited them earlier this summer. They are finishing their workamping position as of Labor Day and from now on they will probably be volunteering. We took them to Thundering Brook Falls to show them the huge falls and beautiful wild flowers, but we were disappointed that the falls had decreased in size tremendously since we were there last. There were very few wild flowers in bloom now, but it was an interesting short hike. Then we went to Kent Pond. We had ducks coming up to us begging for food. We had a great time sharing the adventures of full timing, our past experiences and prospects for the future. They have recently signed up for Campers on Mission so we hope to see them on projects down the road.
Katie drinks from the bathroom lavatory and I caught her with my camera. Thought I would share that with you. I am also growing grass for her.
Allan grilled fish out tonight and I got a picture of him also. While I was outside I noticed the moon and took a picture through the trees. Don't know if you can make it out or not.
