Here is a picture of a mobile home ready for high water. Not sure if they have indoor plumbing as there is a portable outhouse sitting there. Is this a Mississippi condo? Really the houses around were all nice and well kept.
We have had an interesting time in Florida for the past few weeks. We spent three nights at Sandy Oaks RV Park in Beverly Hills, Florida, not California. We were parked between two RVs whose owners were from Canada. They were making preparations for their return trip home.
During our stay there we visited Homosassa Springs State Park. We had a really good time and the weather was not too hot or humid. It started out with a boat ride.
All the animals are indiginous to Florida with the exception of the hippo. Most of the animals and birds were not able to be released into the wild due to injuries. Some of the other birds could come and go as they pleased.
I believe he is in need of a dental cleaning.
Here kitty, kitty. When I took the picture I didn't realize there were two of them.
Such a magnificent eagle.
What an adorable face!
They had at least four manatees. They are huge with a very small head. We were there for the feeding of cabbage.
On our boat ride back to the entrance someone noticed a snake coiled in a tree limb over our heads. Glad he did not drop in for a visit.
We spent almost a week at Sun N Fun Resort in Sarasota. It was a 177 acre facility with so many activities and things to do. There was a huge outdoor pool and a large indoor pool for walking and laps. We also spent a day at St. Augustine. In the next post I will include pictures of those two locations.
