Appalachia Museum

We toured the Appalachia Museum which was quite interesting. It took a lot of work and money to assemble all the artifacts and buildings in this one large area. It showed pictures and stories of people who lived in the area and their hardships.

We left Heiskell and camped at Crossville, Tn. on Sunday. Allan got a few pictures of the campground and area. The name of the campground is Deer Run. It appears to be a big operation. Lots of activities in the summer. They have a large area that has lots that are sold which people put an RV on year round and come occasionally throughout the year. There are two campgrounds for people pulling in for short stays. We are in a campground with only one other RV. It's kinda nice to have so much privacy and half the lake to yourself. We took a drive to Jamestown where we used to go horseback riding. This brought back memories. You will notice the colors are changing on the trees.
