LARGER GROUP OF CAMPERS

This past week we have had a much larger group (500+). Since most of our volunteers left, Terry the manager of the camp asked us to work in the kitchen this week. I helped one of the regular workers with the salad bar. It is different than landscaping and tiring on the feet, but I have enjoyed it so much. The feeding of the brood went smoothly. The kids are very polite and thanked us for our work.

Allan has also been busy this week doing trash duty, building a screen wall around the propane tanks, and changed out a motor on a the freezer unit in the kitchen.

They have lots of things for the kids to do. One day they made a mud bog and hid a treasure in the mud. The kids were divided into two teams and had to find the treasure. When it was over they were told to go wash off in the lake not the showers.

The bird feeders are keeping Katie busy. We have had such colorful birds to visit them.

One day after work we drove to the other side of the lake to get a different view of the camp.

It has gotten cool again. The last two days have been in the low to mid 60's. It is predicted to get up to 90 one day next week. We plan to leave on July 6th. We will be heading to Glacier National Park.

Today we drove to Coeur d'alene, Idaho. There was a beautiful lake that had a beach and park. Even though it was cool, there were still kids in the water although they did not stay long. They had a neat street with shops and cafes. There were many people out today for the holiday weekend. On our way back in to the camp we spotted more deer.
