We are leaving Billings Wednesday. Our stay here has been great. I have had a great walking partner, Carolyn. Allan and I have gotten together with Phil and Carolyn several times to play games.
We will miss them. Pastor Joe and his wife, Juanita took us out to eat at a Chinese restaurant which was very good.
The ceiling of the sanctuary and three rooms were fiber sprayed in a gray color. That was a big job. There is still lots of work to be done but we will have to move on. The guys have worked so hard trying to get things completed.
This is a picture of some of the tornado damage that occurred on Father's Day here in Billings.
They rarely have tornadoes here in Montana but this year they have hit an all time record.
Coming from our experience in Alabama and other states in the South we assumed that everyone that had a house, farm or business had water either from a well or city. We found that in Montana many people do not have water on their property or piped to them. They have big water tanks in the back of their pickups and haul it from town. The church is in the same situation. There is no water available to drill on their property and city water lines are about a mile short of the property. Their plan is to put in cistern tanks and haul water in to fill them. In town we noticed many irrigation ditches which anyone can use the water if they pay for it. They run along peoples property lines. This is not drinking water, just to water your lawn and garden.
