RAINBOW PLANTATION

Work is progressing in the church. The pastor would like to move into the new building by Easter, but not sure that will happen. In construction you can never estimate accurately. This is the stage in the sanctuary.

The church had a Valentine's dinner theater which was put on by the youth. We had good food and entertainment.

Allan was checking blogs when he found that Leonard and Phyllis East(The Easts Head West) were volunteering with Nomads at a church 7 miles from us, so we surprised them with a visit. They said they had been talking about us just that morning. We had met them several years ago in Cullman, Al. as they were just starting to full time.

Rainbow Plantation has their own Mardi Gras celebration week. Darrell and Judy Patterson invited us to come over so we left Hurley Friday afternoon with the MH and took the last site at the RV park.

They had about 240 for the Friday night meal. They crowned the king and queen and there was a lot of silliness. Keep in mind this is a bunch of old folks, us included. We arrived back home by 7:05, that's pm not am.

Glad you made it over to the Plantation. We met Judy and Darrell (mostly Judy) while we were there for three weeks. Did you get to meet our friend Judy Hughes?
