I suppose Allan and I have been busy since it was June since our last post. Time flies when you are having fun.
We had a get together with our RV friends which, of course, means food is involved. Wilena, wife of our project leader had a birthday on the 4th. So we celebrated!
About a week later Don and Carol, Allan and I attended a stock car race. After the races they had a fireworks show which was pretty good. They have quite a few Canadians that come over for the races. We sat beside a family from Canada who attends regularly. This was our first race where they played the United States National Anthem followed by the Canadian National Anthem.
Allan and I went for a ride to see the country side. This is an old Catholic Church.
This is a huge, older barn in need of some repair.
That is Canada across the river.
Potatoes are a big crop here. This is a potato field in bloom.
In this picture the men are harvesting broccoli.
This is not a good picture but hopefully you can see the huge pile of wood they are preparing for winter.
The BIG news is we saw our first moose in Maine. It is a cow. She stuck around for only a short time for photographs.
