LOOKING BACK AT 2012

Looking back at 2012 we find we have worked on 5 projects this year.  (Mississippi, Maine, Alabama, 2- Pennsylvania).  We worked on these projects for approximately 7 1/2 months and traveled 4488 miles.  We have many wonderful memories.  We saw a moose and got pictures this time.  We watched an Amish barn raising which was amazing.  The coastline of Maine was again spectacular.

We had a few extra expenditures this year, but we were under in our budget on many categories.  We seem to always go over on our food budget especially when we are home.

Jeanne had two surgeries.  Otherwise, we both have been rather healthy in our senior years.

We are in Florida now working at Camp Wilderness in Forte Meade.  We are scheduled to work here through February.  The humidity has been high with temperatures breaking records.  I am not fond of that kind of weather so the reason for leaving Alabama in the summer every year.

We have a nice bunch of RV Maps couples to work with.  We usually eat out after church on Sunday,  eat at church on Wednesday nights,  date night on Fridays, and once a month we have a cook out.  Sounds like all we do is eat, doesn't it.  There is a lot of work going on at the camp.  (Painting, plumbing, sheet rock installation, mowing, tiling, and electrical work to name a few.)

Yesterday Allan and I drove to a Lipizzan farm where we were treated to a training event and then were able to visit the stallion barn and mare pasture to feed them treats.  I enjoyed that so much.
