Saturday we decided to take a drive to Gunnison, Co. On our way we were enjoying the beautiful views. We were checking out campgrounds and areas for possible workamping locations. The higher mountains were full of snow. What a sight. We drove through Buena Vista which was having an apple festival. We stopped and had lunch at one of the many restaurants. Then we drove on to Salida along the Arkansas River and then on to Gunnison over Monarch pass. Gunnison is a larger town with a college and seemed very nice. We did not stay long as it was getting late and there was rain in the mountains. The canyon along the Arkansas River was beautiful. There were many campgrounds along this river. Fisherman must love this area. No phone service for us. This goes to the Royal Gorge. We saw the train that takes passengers through the Royal Gorge. If it wasn't so late we might have taken a ride. We had supper at Canyon City and then drove toward Colorado Springs and back to Woodland Park in the dark.
We attended the same church this Sunday. We met the leaders of FPU. They are having classes Sunday and Wednesday. After lunch we decided to take a walk and discovered four deer behind our trailer. We got some pictures. Tonight, Sunday, we took some country dance lessons in Colorado Springs.
