Weather in Billings

The high today was 96 degrees, but we are working inside with a breeze blowing through the windows. It really did not feel that hot. What a difference from Alabama. We run one air conditioner in the RV during the day but shut it off before we go to bed as the temperatures drop in low 60s. We end up shutting the windows before morning. We really are enjoying this weather. The rest of the week the temperatures should be a little cooler.
The weather here is quite different. We have had several showers but we don't get wet. The rain evaporates before it hits the ground. Anything you see that is green is being irrigated. It will be calm and all of a sudden there will be a 30 to 50 mile an hour wind gust.
Allan is mudding. Jeanne has moved from sanding and mudding to staining today. This is a picture of the library we are working on.
There are several forest fires burning in the area. (west of Cody, in Yellowstone, near Red Lodge, Mt) Several areas have been evacuated. We have not been affected so far.
