Good general week and blessed

Thursday we decided to stay around the campground and get some needed chores taken care of and Allan had numerous phone calls to make.

Friday we stopped at the Sugar and Spice Restaurant for a pancake breakfast. Yummy! Neither one of us could finish everything on our plates. The next stop was the dump to drop off our old washer and dryer. From there, we drove to Lebanon, NH to pick up our new washer and dryer. Allan wanted me to see the church he has been working on so we stopped by there first. I met the pastor and his wife and he showed us around the new building. Allan did not go over this week as 24 guys from Georgia worked this week. They got the electrical, plumbing, sheet rock and sprayed the ceilings and got some interior walls installed. Allan was amazed how much they were able to accomplish in 4 days of work. We stopped at McDonald's for lunch and must have made the girl's day who waited on us. She was so excited to learn that we were from Alabama. She was from Mississippi. We enjoyed our drive and just being together. Life is good and God is great.

Today Allan had to get the washer and dryer into the RV. He was able to pick up the dryer from the truck and walk it to the front door and set it inside, but he found the washer way too heavy to move by himself. Felicia, the newest member of our staff here, drove the mule down to our campsite. Allan was able to slide the washer off the truck onto the mule. Felicia backed the mule up to the RV. A man showed up about that time who asked if Allan needed some help. Thank you God. They were able to get it transferred. We now have a washer and dryer just inside our front door. The cat is enjoying checking them out. Allan has to build a shelf for the dryer before he can install them.

We went to Rutland to volunteer at the Angel Food distribution day that is sponsored by Roadside Chapel AOG, where we are attending, and Calvary Chapel. We had not heard about this before but apparently it is all over the United States. For $30 you can get groceries worth about $65. Not a bad deal. We had to wait a while for the truck to deliver the food, but after it arrived I was amazed at how fast and smooth the process took place. We were able to meet some of the people from the church and get to know them better.

Allan got a hair cut and bought some tools. You men just love your tools. I got a pair of water shoes for use when we take our kayak out.

We had a couple following behind unbeknown to us while driving down the road. We pulled into a parking lot and they got out of their car and introduced themselves, Larry and Joyce Space. They had seen our Escapees sticker on the truck and wanted to meet us. They are Escapees, too. We will be visiting them tomorrow at their house.

We did our evening campground walk and met several people. One was the family and man who had helped Allan with the washer. We also met a couple who were from Massachusetts. They had just bought their second motor home, a Phaeton. They told us about a rodeo every Saturday night in a town not too far from here. We hope we will be able to go some time.
