We spent Saturday and Sunday in Albuquerque, NM. Driving in, Allan fought the wind gusts most of the day and he reduced his speed considerably. We did not see any balloons because of the wind and we will not be able to get back for the Balloon Festival in Oct. A much needed grocery shopping trip was in order for the day.
Our RV park had some old cars and travel trailers on display(some of the first RV's made).
Randy and Pam Warner are people whom we have been following their blog for some time. We contacted them after learning they were in Albuquerque and met for lunch at the Flying Star Cafe downtown. It was good to meet them for the first time. They have been working with Nomads (Methodist RV Volunteer group) and Habitat for Humanity. They are planning to go on a project with Habitat in Santa Fe soon.
Monday we drove to an RV park near Durango. It was windy but not as bad as the previous moving day. The drive produced different landscape.
We are at a much higher elevation and we have a beautiful view of the mountains and valley below.
Katie likes the park just fine. We drove into Durango to purchase our tickets for our excursion trip to Silverton for the next day.
