We arrived at Camp Cedaredge on June 1. This camp is located in Cedaredge, Co. on the western slope of the Rockies and is at the base of the Grand Mesa. We worked here two years ago for most of the summer. We were scheduled to work this summer in Logan, Utah, but that job was canceled for the RV MAPS workers. So we decided to come back to Cedaredge for a month and then work in Fort Morgan, Colorado until the end of August. This will be a new church build.
After getting settled in, a trip to the Grand Mesa was in order. We found quite a bit of snow but not as much as we found two years ago.
This one is on top of the Grand Mesa looking down on the area around Cedaredge and further. It is a little hazy, probably from some of the fires here in Colorado.
Allan has been working on many different projects here at camp, from taking trash to the dump to electrical. I have helped clean the game room, a small paint job and working in the kitchen. I have found that I am not able to work like I did two years ago. My hours are shorter and I am exhausted when finished for the day.
We have made several enjoyable sightseeing trips on the weekends. One of the trips was a ranchers rodeo in Ridgeway. I especially enjoyed the shooting on horseback.
