Quest to find cousins

Monday, Jim loaned us his truck which we drove to Jackson, Mo looking for Jeanne's cousin, Jeanette Estes. Previously Jeanne had called her but found that the phone had been disconnected. We drove to her last known address hoping to at least talk with a neighbor who might give us some information about her. After knocking on five doors and flagging the mailman down we got a cell phone # of her daughter, Peggy. We were able to contact her and met them both for lunch. Jeanette now resides in an assisted living facility in Cape Girardeau. Jeanette was so glad to see Jeanne and likewise. We had a wonderful chat and catch up time with them. We headed back to Charleston to hook up and say our good byes. We ended up returning to Jim and Carlenes after getting diesel to pick up some clothes we left in the dryer.

We stopped by to see Wayne and Linda Wood in Hopkinsville, Ky. We had ridden horses together in previous years. They graciously let us park our trailer in their driveway over night. We got a tour of the barn, horse trailer, and met the horses, dog and cats. The horse trailer is a 3 horse with 14 ft living quarters with a slide. Really nice. Billy Ray, another horse friend, stopped by to see us before we left. Allan made sure Jeanne had not stowed away a cat before leaving. We headed out across Kentucky not sure of where we would be staying.
