YUMA, QUARTZSITE, AND GLENDALE

I signed up for the oil painting class of a desert scene and that was fun. I attended two classes on genealogy which was loaded with great information. This is something I have wanted to do for a long time. It is a good thing Allan and I each have our own computer because I see me on the computer so much more learning about genealogy.

Allan and I attended a "Boomers" potluck. We met some really nice people. Allan and I have made plans to celebrate our 30th anniversary on an Alaskan cruise in May We learned that Bea and Ken Marler will be traveling on the same cruise ship as us. What a small world. Now we will know 2 of the 1900 people on the ship.

A chip on the windshield was fixed during this week. We purchased more fire extinguishers after Allan attended Mac the fire guys seminar. On Friday everyone met to say their goodbyes and have coffee and donuts. We got in line for the dumping station and then on to be weighed for individual tire weights.

We decided to spend the night at Quartzsite in an RV park as we have never been to that area. We both expected to see nothing but sand/desert and a few cacti, but we have arrived after much rain and spring approaching fast. We are seeing more green grass and colorful flowers along the road. More of God's handiwork.

We drove to Glendale, Az to Palm Shadow Park where we will be staying until the end of the month working on a church in Peoria. We attended church today and went out to eat lunch with all the RV group. Several are leaving tomorrow. We have worked with one couple before in Lusk, Wy in 2008
