Charleston SC

We stayed at Lake Aire Campground outside of Charleston where some friends, Kerry and Debbie Blevins, are staying while working. It was so good to see familiar faces while on the road. We enjoyed our visits with them so much.

We took a carriage tour of downtown Charleston, a very historic and picturesque city, with many generations of architecture displayed in the buildings. We had a difficult time parking our big truck in a town with narrow streets. It was a perfect time of year to tour by carriage. The temperature was very comfortable and it was not as crowded at this time of year. The azaleas and many trees were in bloom.

From there we headed to Maysville, NC with an overnight stop at Sunset Beach, NC.

I love all these old pictures. I haven't ever been to Charleston before but would love to go. Looks like a nice place just to take a stroll in.
