ON THE ROAD AGAIN

We had a nice time visiting with our three daughters during the month of March at our home base near Birmingham. We call this time, Home Missions, as Allan has done home repairs for 2 of the daughters. We also had an opportunity to visit with several friends from the Birmingham area. We had several doctor and dentist appointments scheduled this month also.

The lake levels are up due to all the rain we have had. The Birmingham area is apparently out of the drought they have been experiencing for several years. Spring has sprung. The dogwoods, redbuds and azaleas are in full bloom. It is beautiful.

I had my knee operation the first of March and am well on the road to recovery. I had to see my GI doctor. This lead to an endoscopy (looking down into the stomach). While I was under for that procedure a heart block (electrical not blockage of artery) showed up. I was referred to a cardiologist. An echo, nuclear stress test and blood work was scheduled. That was a long day. Allan was very patient waiting around. We are praising the Lord for a good report on the heart tests.

Our plans on this new adventure will take us from Savannah along the east coast to Canada and end in Vermont where we will volunteer until mid-October.
