Hunting Island State Park, SC

We arrived at Hunting Island State Park to find a nice view of the Atlantic Ocean. Even though our campsite was a pull through, we had to back in due to so many trees on the site and length of our RV. Katie was kept busy watching all the birds and squirrels. The weather was very windy and gradually got cooler. There were a few crazy people in the water, but they were kids much younger than us. We walked the beaches and visited the lighthouse. The island is eroding and becoming smaller each year. While driving around Allan saw some white birds nesting in the trees. It was very difficult to see them from the road and we could not get back into the area, so he got on top of the cab of the truck and took some pictures. I know the people who drove by while he was on the truck must have thought he was a nut case. It was quite comical. Just before we left the next morning, a deer came into the campground. A little girl was able to walk up to the deer and feed it, but lots of other kids came running and got too close. The deer walked away. We did not get a picture of that.
We are on the road again, heading for Charleston, South Carolina.
