Snow in Killington

Monday we cleaned the upper bathrooms and stacked wood. It was a cold day. Since there was a prediction for snow early Tuesday morning, I prepared for the snow arrival by taking a flashlight to bed with me. I think I was just too excited about the S word because I did not sleep well. I also had leg cramps. Ouch! I got my trusty flashlight out several times to check for snow and sure enough on the 2nd time I saw snow coming down. I got up and took a picture against the exterior light on the trailer.

Tuesday morning we awoke to about an inch of wet snow on the trees and ground. It was beautiful and a prayer answered. God is good. We cleaned upper and lower bathrooms. Only worked about 2 hours. We received an invitation for lunch with Bob and Carolyn, friends from church. They live in the Chittendon area but out in the country. What a beautiful drive. They did not get snow and they were happy about that. We had a wonderful lunch and fellowship with them. From there we had to get propane, diesel and Rx in Rutland.

Tuesday night I kept hearing an animal noise but could not recognize it. Today, Wednesday, we found that a bear had been in the campground trying to raid the dumpster. We stacked firewood as there was a new delivery this morning and we gave the golf cart a heavy duty scrubbing. Christina went over some of the office procedures with me as I will be filling in for her tomorrow afternoon.

We took a drive into Rutland this afternoon for some warm gloves, water hoses, and bottled water. We can't find all of our winter wear. Did we leave it back in Alabama?

I got a picture of Katie laying on my legs. She was all stretched out snoozing and keeping warm.
