Did you think we had dropped off the face of the earth? We have been cleaning and doing errands and some maintenance on the trailer this week. We returned to the Garden of the Gods to walk. It is such a nice place, not too crowded with wide side walks. It is warmer and lower in elevation than Woodland Park. We attended a soup supper at the campground. It was nice to get to know more people.
Friday it rained and started hailing while Allan ran some errands in town. The ground was white by the time it finished. It was very small in diameter so did no damage.`
Saturday, we drove through some small communities nestled into the valleys and up the sides of the mountains. They were neat. We also drove to Deckers, Co. so Allan could fly fish for the first time. He first tried it from the bank, but the foliage got his tackle. Next he got out in the middle of the river and things went much better. No fish for supper though.
Sunday, we attended an FPU class at Woodland Park Community Church and were very impressed with the enthusiasm of the class and the leaders were great. After church we drove to Eleven Mile Canyon so Allan could fish again. This didn't last too long as the wind started blowing up a storm. The scenery was pretty.
