We have toured Acadia National Park by car and the following day we took a 2-hour cruise around the bay to get a different view and see new things we could not see by car. We sat on top of the boat. We had a beautiful day but chilly and windy. Our faces were frozen. We saw many multi-million dollar "cottages". Our trip was blessed with many sightings of different animals which included an adult eagle flying and an adolescent eagle flying and one nesting. I got a picture that you can just make out of the nesting one. We also saw quite a number of seals, one with a youngster riding on his mom's back and many nesting birds on Egg Island where the lighthouse was located. We had an excellent tour guide. This was well worth the money! We were fortunate enough to see a four masted schooner sailing for the first time this season.
On Thursday we drove to Camden and Belfast. We had a bad experience at the Lobster Pound in Camden. Poor service, bad food and trying to over charge us were a few things that describe this restaurant. We had an excellent meal at Young's Lobster Pound across the river from Belfast. This was Yancy and Jeanne's first time to eat a whole lobster. The meal included fresh lobster, clams, corn and chips. There were many cute shops in these towns. We arrived back at the campground to packing and cleaning up, playing some Boggle and then the finale of Grey's Anatomy. What an ending.
Friday we got up early. Yancy and Jeanne rode in the rental car while Allan drove the truck to the interstate. We said our goodbyes and gave final instructions for the final 2 hour trip to the airport in Manchester, NH. She has called several times and made it to the airport, boarded her flight to Atlanta and landed in Atlanta learning that her flight to Birmingham had been delayed.
