We are leaving with mixed emotions, very sad to leave and happy to head for home to see our family. No regrets in volunteering here at Gifford Woods. Our time spent here has been enjoyable and educational. We have experience summer, fall and a little beginning of winter here in the Northeast. The people have been so friendly and helpful. We found a great church to attend and be a part of also. While here we toured much of Vermont, New Hampshire and the south Adirondack region of New York.
While Allan was dumping, I walked down to Kent Brook and got some pictures. It was sad knowing this was my last time to be here. We got on the road after 12:00 as we were waiting to see if we received any mail. No mail.

It was not long before we crossed into New York state. While traveling on I-90 we saw two herds of deer, one with 4 and the other with 8. This morning (Tuesday) we came upon a police car with his emergency lights on with a wrecker and an SUV attached in front of the police car. Apparently the SUV had hit a buck. Saratoga Springs appears to be an interesting city. We have seen fiberglass moose or cows in other cities but this one has horses. Saratoga race track is located here and there are numerous mineral springs in the area.
We arrived at Seneca Lake State Park just at dark. We went to bed early for us and slept late. We were tired.

Katie sensed that we were making a move again this morning so she hid under the bed and did not venture out. Allan had to retrieve her which always results in her getting grease on her back from the slide mechanism. Bad kitty. She just does not like to ride in the truck. Katie was hoarse by the time we arrived at our next stop.
We are in Grand Island, New York just south of Niagara Falls. Went out for pizza tonight at John's Pizza and Subs and had a delicious Greek pizza.
